How do I tip without cash?
Scan the worker's Tip4Tab QR code with your phone camera, choose an amount, and pay with Apple Pay or a card. You don't need an app or an account.
The steps
1. Point your phone camera at the QR code. The worker's tip page opens in your browser.
2. Choose an amount from $5 to $200.
3. Pay with Apple Pay or a card. You get a receipt when it goes through.
Where does the money go?
The tip goes straight to the worker who served you, not into a shared pool or to the house. Payments are handled by Stripe.
What does it cost?
Tip4Tab charges a 7% Tip4Tab fee on each tip, plus a card processing fee. By default the tipper covers both, so the worker receives the full tip. A tipper can choose not to, and then the fees come out of the tip. See pricing for examples.
Do I need to download anything?
No. Tip4Tab works in your phone's browser, so there is no app to install and no account to create.
